The Hawai'ians respect the sea turtle for its ability to return home after roaming hundreds of miles.The turtle represents the navigator in Hawai'ian culture.

Wa'a

This figure represents a sailing canoe with the classic Hawai'ian crab claw sail. This particular petroglyph is at Puu Loa in Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park.
